Fazlur Rehman receives notice from NAB on assets beyond income case

ISLAMABAD: (Pardachaak) – National Accountability Bureau NAB on Friday has issued a call-up notice to Maulana Fazlur Rehman Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F JUI-F for the inquiry of the case of assets beyond mean/income case.

ISLAMABAD: (Pardachaak) – National Accountability Bureau NAB on Friday has issued a call-up notice to Maulana Fazlur Rehman Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F JUI-F for the inquiry of the case of assets beyond mean/income case.

NAB has asserted the Fazlur Rehman to present complete details of his assets till Dec 28, 2020.

The notice was issued under Section 19 of the National Accountability Ordinance of 1999, was sent to Fazlur Rehman’s residence in Dera Ismail Khan (D-I Khan).

According to details, the anti-graft regulator has directed the JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman to submit complete details of his assets till December 28.

Previously, Ali Amin Gandapur Federal Minister had shared a document revealing, Maulana Fazlur Rehman owns commercial land worth Rs 4.7 million PKR, including commercial land worth Rs 1.5 million PKR in Abdul Khel DI Khan and worth Rs 2.5 million PKR in Shorkot.  

It also mentioned in the report that, Maulana Fazlur Rehman owns five cars, two houses and five acres of agricultural land in Dera Ismail Khan (D-I Khan), a bungalow in F-8 Islamabad and an apartment in Dubai. The documents stated that the JUI-F chief also owns commercial properties in Quetta and Karachi. He owns a house, a madrassah and five acres of land in Shorkot as well.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman had bought and sold land worth Rs 3 billion PKR in Chak Shahzad, recently, the document presented by Ali Amin stated.

However, Maulana Rashid Mehmood Said, “We will seek details from NAB we have no need to present the details.”
