‘Vote ko izzat do’ has always been Nawaz Sharif’s narrative: Maryam Nawaz

LAHORE – Pakistani Muslim League League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawaz on Thursday said the ‘vote ko izzat do’ had been the nerrative of former prime minister and party leader Nawaz Sharif.

Speaking at a party meeting in Lahore on Thursday, she said the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) would send incumbent governors to pack.

She also described the charge of sedition for talking about the constitution and the law.

With regard to sedition cases, the PML-N vice-president went on to say that a high-level party was appointed for sedition cases while seeking the rule of law, adding what kind of traitor performs six nuclear tests in response to five nuclear tests.

“The sanctity of the vote has been violated in the country,” she said, adding that the cure for all diseases lies in ‘vote ko izzat do’.

Maryam Nawaz also told party workers that the former Prime Minister had not left them alone, adding that he had faced all the attacks himself first and then came with us. “When the time came to give, he would be ahead,” he added.
