Peshawar: Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai has declared that Peshawar will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitar on Thursday, May 13. Alleges 23 people surfaced before committee to record testimonies
A meeting of the informal committee led by Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai was arranged at Peshawar’s Masjid Qasim Ali Khan.
The informal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Masjid Qasim Ali Khan has announced Wednesday that the moon of Shawwal was seen in numerous areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Mufti Popalzai claimed that 23 people personally surfaced before the committee to record their testimonies.
Main Ruet-e-Hilal Committee hasn’t got any testimonies
The meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on Shawwal moon sighting is still ongoing in Islamabad.
Its chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad told journalists that his committee has so far collected no testimonies of moon observing.
He advised media not to air unconfirmed news and circulated deception.
